Formed in 1974, and comprising of the major manufacturers of alloy access towers in the UK, PASMA's (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) main objective was to promote the safe use of alloy access towers.

PASMA's Training Course for users of towers is now universally acknowledged as the industry standard. It has developed a long history of skills training to make the use of access towers as safe as possible by producing many thousands of competent users.

The courses are widely recognised by organisations such as the Health & Safety Executive, Railtrack and the British Airport Authority.

All courses are part theoretical and part practical and culminate with a short test paper. Successful delegates receive both an A4 certificate and a credit card sized photo I.D. card valid for a five year period valid for a 5 year period.
